In El Molladar you can enjoy mountain riding, with rides lasting from one hour to a full day, we even offer rides for several days. In El Molladar we take care to ensure that the character and level of the rider adapts as much as possible to the character of the chosen horse. Together with our guides, you will discover some of the most beautiful and hidden areas of the Western Pyrenees, a far cry from roads and towns.

For those who want to begin horse riding, or who just want to improve their level, we have an enjoyable circuit among woods and fields where you can learn to ride safely on any sort of terrain. The daring can learn to ride bareback (with a blanket) - teaching this form of riding is our speciality.

Those who prefer not to saddle up can take the chance to enjoy a ride in our horse-drawn wagon. The wagonette takes 5 people, and has disc brakes, pneumatic tyres with tacks and cushioned seats, especially suited to our local terrain. The wagon ride is a treat for all the family, children and adults alike.

EXAMPLE: ONE-DAY TRIP
THE COLL DELS CARABINERS ROUTE

You leave El Molladar, 600 m above sea level, and take one of the main paths which connect the Salarça Valley with the neighbouring valleys. After an hour of easy riding, on hillsides covered with hazels and oak trees some of which are a hundred years old, you arrive at Fontrubí, 1,100 m above sea level, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view over a large area of the valleys of the Alta Garrotxa and the Ripollès area.
After crossing the Fontrubí neighbourhood, you begin a long, gentle climb through an open landscape of mountain pastures until you reach the old Mountain Patrol Barracks which is located on a wide crest near the French border. The crest is ideal for galloping, and you can take in a view which stretches from the Bay of Roses and the Mediterranean to El Canigó Mountain in France.
After a country-style picnic in this privileged area of our country, you go down another mountainside and enter a rugged landscape of thickly wooded escarpments with oak, beech and birch trees until you come to the Salarça Valley, where the landscape opens up once more on the descent to El Molladar, where you arrive after 7 hours of open air riding.
